Del Monte Pineapple Plantation at Camp Philips Bukidnon

Del Monte Plantation in Bukidnon is one of the biggest producers of the sweetest and finest pineapple not only here but also in abroad.  Due to high demands of pineapple in global markets, they export fruits to different countries which makes the company more stable and stay in business for many years.  They also provide lots of job to Bukidnon people where in one of the employees is my brother.

Almost every year, to spare my vacation, I went to Camp Philips Bukidnon - the focal point of  del Monte Plantation. It has lush and wide field of pineapples covering around 5,000 hectares. Like almost Baguio, Camp Philips has a very cool climate throughout the year. You can rarely see houses with air-conditioned installed.  That's why almost every summer season, I opted to come here to relax and savor the good climate.

Upon entering Camp Philips,  you will see the biggest replica of pineapple, perfect spot for picture taking.

At the main entrance of Camp Philips, you will see this signage - Welcome Camp Philips, Bukidnon.

One of the benefits provided by the company to their regular employees is that  they can live in their colorful houses for free until retirement. The structure was designed by Americans,  previous owner of the company.

After a trip, one can bring a take home gifts (pasalubong) to their family. Aside from fresh fruits, anyone can buy delicacies out of pineapple fruits at Camp Philips souvenir shop.

One can look around the camp without seeking any permission from Del Monte.  The environment is clean, fresh, cool, and pleasing to the eyes.
